Chainsaw Man follows the story of Denji, a young man who made a contract with Pochita, a dog-like devil. Pochita fused with Denji, giving Denji the ability to transform parts of his body into a chainsaw. Denji later joined the Public Safe Devil Hunters, who fight and hunt devils whenever they pose a threat to the human world. Chainsaw Man was originally written by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The manga series was serialized in 2018 and became a part of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. The Chainsaw Man manga has already been published in 11 volumes. An anime adaptation of the series has been announced and is scheduled to premiere in October 2022 as part of the Fall 2022 anime lineup.
