Manga author Masashi Kishimoto has introduced Naruto as one of the most loving characters in the entire series. Apart from fulfilling his duty as a ninja, Naruto’s character also shows his love for his friends and the village. While this is a good part of Naruto’s overall characteristics, the enemy decides to take advantage of it and use it against the Hokage of the Konoha Village.
In the latest chapter of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga series, the fight between Naruto, Code, and Momoshiki has just exploded. Despite losing Kurama during the fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki, Naruto was still able to keep up with his enemies.
However, Code took Shikamaru as a hostage against Naruto as he was being cornered by two powerful opponents. He knows that being a hostage will just drag down the Hokage, so Shikamaru asked Naruto to forget about him and just attack Code without any hesitations.
For some, it’s a good chance to take down an enemy, but Naruto is not that type of comrade who will sacrifice his friend for victory. As a result, Naruto held back, as he didn’t want to harm his friend. While Naruto didn’t listen to Shikamaru’s request, he’s still decided that he will be taking down the Code.
The hostage-taking does not appear to be coming to an end anytime soon, as Code still has Shikamaru in his grip. With the upcoming Boruto manga chapter, fans are hoping to see Naruto save his friend from the hands of Code.
