After the intense moments of the second season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, studio ufotable has released the first teaser trailer for Demon Slayer Season 3. Unfortunately, the new trailer did not reveal any more details, such as the release date of the 3rd season.

Demon Slayer Season 2 covered the Entertainment District Arc of the manga, with a total of 11 episodes. The 2nd season premiered in December 2021, and looking at the previous season, it’s likely that Season 3 will be released in 2023.

Demon Slayer 3 Synopsis

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 will be covering the Swordsmith Village Arc.

Tanjiro visits the Swordsmith Village to ask Hotaru Haganezuka to repair his broken sword. On his arrival, Tanjiro meets Mitsuri Kanroji, the love hashira, and Muichiro Tokito, the mist hashira. While waiting for his sword to be repaired by Hotaru, demons arrive in the village.

Due to the recent events in the Entertainment District, Muzan, the main protagonist of the series, dispatched strong demons on another mission.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date

So when will it be released? As mentioned above, the production team of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime has yet to reveal the premiere date of the 3rd season. But as mentioned, it’s likely that Tanjiro and his friends will return in Demon Slayer Season 3 in 2023.

While waiting for the official release date announcement of season 3, you can read the manga series if you can’t wait to know what will happen next. The 2nd season ended in Chapter 97, and assuming that the next season will have no filler, it should begin in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 98.

As always, we highly recommend reading the Demon Slayer manga series from the official distributors of the manga, such as Manga Plus by Shueisha and Viz.
