The Classroom of the Elite follows the story of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, a quiet boy who is not good at making friends. This results in him keeping a distance from the crowd. Despite being a loner, Kiyotaka possessed very high intelligence. Unfortunately, he is one of the students in Class-D, which is a section where the school is putting inferior students. In class, he met Suzune Horikita and Kikyo Kushida, and he also started getting involved in many affairs. Shortly, his ideas about the life of a normal high school student start to scatter. Classroom of the Elite is a light novel series created by Syougo Kinugasa. The light novel has been serialized by Media Factory and began its publication in May 2015. In 2017, the first season of the anime adaptation of Classroom of the Elite aired. It was followed by the 2022 release of Classroom of the Elite Season 2 as part of the Summer 2022 anime lineup.
