While the fight between Kaido and Luffy has been temporarily postponed in the latest One Piece manga chapter, manga author Eiichiro Oda has prepared a surprising cliffhanger for the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. During Sanji’s face-off against Queen, the manga chapter teases One Piece fans the potential awakening of Germa 66 modifications to Sanji’s body.
Previously, the series has revealed Sanji’s affiliation with the Vinsmoke family. It turns out that Sanji is one of the children of Vinsmoke Judge, the supreme commander of the Germa 66. While Sanji’s siblings have demonstrated the success of the scientific experiment, Sanji’s own scientific modifications did not manifest during his childhood. However, the cliffhanger of Chapter 1028 of the One Piece manga series suggests that Sanji is about to manifest the genetic enhancement after experiencing unusual feelings and surviving Queen’s attack.
On the live floor, Sanji was facing Queen, one of the All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates. Sanji is doing his best to deal with the enemy without relying on the Germa 66 technology. However, it seems that Queen is way more powerful than him as Queen was able to handle all of Sanji’s attacks. While the two are fighting, Sanji notices something unusual happening to his body. As Sanji tried to calm his body, he started thinking that he might have awakened the same ability as his siblings. At the same time, Sanji was caught off guard and was attacked by Queen using his sword.
Sanji was almost killed, but his luck didn’t run out as he experienced another unexpected moment in his life. Instead of Queen cutting off his head, Queen’s sword shattered and Sanji only felt a minor pain. While he was able to survive Queen’s attack, Sanji was annoyed and told himself that he didn’t want to be a monster like his family. Queen was also shocked to see how Sanji was able to survive his deadly attack.
How did Sanji able to survive and shatter Queen’s sword? Are we going to see Sanji’s new power as he awakens Germa 66’s scientific enhancements and power? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
