One Piece Taking a Break after Big Mom’s Defeat to Law and Kid

The fight between Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid against Big Mom has finally been concluded in Chapter 1040. With the two worst generations defeating Big Mom, it seems that Eiichiro Oda is taking a break after this intense fight. According to the reported details, which were also confirmed by Viz Media, the upcoming One Piece Chapter 1041 has been rescheduled to be released on the last Sunday of February 2022.

One Piece is still in the Wano Country arc, and the story looks like it is far from the end. Previously, we have seen how Kid and Law struggled to fight Yonko Big Mom. In Chapter 1040, their efforts finally bore fruit after the manga confirmed that the two managed to defeat Big Mom.

Both Kid and Law used all of their remaining strength to unleash their final blow against the Yonko, resulting in Big Mom falling from the flying island of Onigashima. Due to Law’s power, Big Mom’s impact on the land of Wano was unheard of. But before Big Mom reached the ground, Yonko Big Mom told the two members of the Worst Generations not to assume that their attack would kill her. Most One Piece manga fans have already predicted that Big Mom will survive this fall because Yonko has already proven her toughness.

Big Mom’s defeat is the main highlight of the 1040th chapter of the One Piece manga. However, the cliffhanger excites fans to learn more about the past, especially about Zuneshia, who is very close to the Wano Country. Momonosuke confirmed in the previous chapter’s final spread that Zuneshia is Joyboy’s companion and also committed a crime 800 years ago.
