The Dragon Ball Super manga continues the story of Son Goku and his adventures after the battle against Majin Buu, but before the final chapters involving the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. While it is based on Toriyama's outline, it differs significantly from the two most recent Dragon Ball Super anime and the Dragon Ball Z films in terms of plot.
