While the One Piece fandom is patiently waiting for the official release of One Piece Chapter 1042, the community over at Reddit has leaked some of the details of the upcoming chapter. The leaked One Piece Chapter 1042 suggests another ability reveal of the “Strongest Creature” in the series.
The One Piece Wano Arc is currently nearing its final phase as the flying island of Onigashima is getting close to the Flower Capital. As the impending disaster gets closer, the characters on the island are also doing their best to stop the madness of the Beasts Pirates.
In the previous chapter, the manga confirms that the new task for CP0 is to immediately take down Monkey D. Luffy. However, X-Drake overheard the order and decides to intervene to prevent CP0 from heading to Luffy, who is currently fighting Kaido.
The leaked raw scans for this scene between X-Drake and CP0 are interestingly intense, but the main highlight of the leaked spoilers is the continuation of the fight between Luffy and Kaido. According to the details, Kaido has shown another technique to defeat Luffy.
Previously, Luffy transformed into his Snakeman form. The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates was able to inflict too much damage with this attack. This situation leads to Kaido entering his “Amae Jougo mode”, or Craving Love Drunk mode (as Orojapan described).
Kaido also imitates Luffy’s movements and transforms into his dragon form. It is also worth noting that Kaido used his “Nusubito Jougo form” and bites Luffy. With Kaido’s massive dragon mouth, Luffy was trapped.
Luffy tried to attack Kaido from the inside, but he was being overpowered by the strength of the Yonko. Later, Kaido used his “Bolo Breath”, resulting in Luffy being swept. This moment gives Luffy a chance to escape. Luffy then transforms into his Boundman form and flies back to Kaido.
