One Piece Reveals Dracule Mihawk’s Previous Alias

Following the reveal of the Cross Guild organization in which Mihawk was involved, the One Piece series has also revealed some interesting facts about the Strongest Swordsman in the World. This is about Mihawk’s former nickname before being known as the Strongest Swordsman.

In One Piece Chapter 1058, the series also revealed that before Cross Guild was formed, Dracule Mihawk was also referred to as “Marine Hunter”, suggesting that Mihawk has been targeting the marines before being a Shichibukai. Sir Crocodile invited Mihawk to build an organization that the World Government won’t take lightly.

Knowing that the Shichibukai system had already been dissolved, the former Shichibukais, including Mihawk, were already being targeted by the navy. It is known that one of the reasons why Mihawk become one of the Shichibukai is to not be targeted by his enemies. Since the Shichibukai system is gone, the peace that he’s been living has been stripped off, resulting in him joining Sir Crocodile.

The main goal of Crocodile for forming Cross Guild is still unknown, but one thing is for sure, they are the ones responsible for putting bounties on the marines.
